"L'Enclos 2014 offers a dense bouquet that slowly opens up in the glass, revealing aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry, and leather that should become more pronounced as the bottle ages. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. There is a generous amount of black fruit surrounded by sage and cloves, which slowly unfolds into a stylish finish that is a little austere but persistent." (Wine Advocate 2017 - Robert Parker) Delivery in wooden cases for all orders of 6 bottles of this wine.

Rated estate (2018 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About wine:

"Delicate on the palate, the wine tightens up to finish with a spicy note."

About the estate:

Owned by Stephen Adams, an American businessman and epicurean, L'Enclos benefits from investments that allow the vintage to reappear in our tastings. With its 38 plots spread over 9 hectares, this estate alternates between sand, gravel, and flint. Dense and harmonious tannins, with a spicy finish.

Hachette Wine Guide

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated estate Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

Americans Denise and Stephen Adams, who already own wineries in California, have been investing in the Libourne region for several years: Fonplégade, a Saint-Émilion grand cru classé, in 2004, and L'Enclos in Pomerol, in 2007. The latter has expanded its vineyard by 9 hectares, divided into thirty-eight plots on the western slope of the plateau.
