Château Tour du Pas Saint-Georges
Château Tour du Pas Saint-Georges, an old family property of Madame Dubois-Challon, now belongs to Pascal Delbeck, who also owns Château Belair, 1er Grand Cru classé Saint Emilion, and Château Ame de Musset in Lalande de Pomerol. A hands-on man, Pascal Delbeck was technical director of these same estates for Madame Dubois-Challon, and has worked as a consultant in many countries. Château Tour du Pas Saint-Georges naturally benefits from this exceptional experience.

Ideally situated in the heart of the Saint-Georges Saint-Emilion appellation, near Bordeaux, overlooking Saint-Emilion and in the shadow of Château Saint-Georges, the Château Tour du Pas Saint-Georges estate extends over 14 hectares of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet-Sauvignon. The vines, on average 25 years old, are ideally south-facing, on a predominantly clay-limestone soil with silty sands. Pascal Delbeck runs his estate according to biodynamic principles, harvesting by hand with a yield of 50 hl/ha. Château Tour du Pas Saint-Georges is undoubtedly one of the appellation's jewels.

The Saint-Georges Saint-Emilion appellation is recognized as the most prestigious of Saint-Emilion's satellites, and also the most confidential, the preserve of a few passionate winegrowers. This fine 2007 vintage does it proud: a ripe, intense nose, lovely substance, elegance, finesse, perfect balance... Lovely, very lovely!
