Château Léoville Barton
Château Léoville Barton is the result of a huge, dismembered estate whose names speak for themselves. It was in 1826 that Hugh Barton acquired this part of the great Léoville estate, now divided between Barton, Las Cases and Poyferré. Anthony Barton, representing the sixth generation, is now at the helm of this second Saint-Julien Grand Cru Classé. He carries on the tradition of his family, who for over 2 centuries have preserved this exceptional heritage represented by the two properties Château Langoa and Château Léoville Barton.

The geographical location of the Saint-Julien appellation makes it a marvellous vineyard, where everything comes together to produce wines of exceptional quality and elegance. Château Léoville Barton and Château Langoa have the great privilege of being right in the heart of it, and from generation to generation, the wines produced by these two estates have preserved the quality of their classification, to offer Saint-Julien wines at the zenith of the appellation.

"A vintage that is particularly suited to this cru, which in my opinion makes a wine above 2020 ~ Anthocyanes "

"Léoville-Barton expresses itself in majesty on this 2021 vintage, just captured on a firm, tasty, articulate flesh, with a touch of austerity in the tannic framework that characterizes its terroir signature. The body is bloody and straight, elongated and slender. Well done." Favorite ! (Terre de Vins 2022) - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

"A breathtaking St-Julien!"

"Finesse, complexity and depth. This line has been applied for a long time, with exceptional precision, but also with a subtle way of displaying it... it's not obvious to the eye (or nose, rather), but it's well established! The bouquet displays nuances of dark berries, sweet spices, cocoa beans and graphite. The wine is full-bodied, with fine-grained tannins. These ensure the wine's power and harmony, as they go hand in hand with its acid structure and freshness. Another Barton that combines finesse, vigor and depth". (Yves Beck 2022) - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

Léoville-Barton - La Réserve de Léoville-Barton 2007

La Réserve de Léoville Barton (second wine of Château Léoville Barton) offers a spectacular variety of bouquets evoking spices, violets... The balance on the palate is subtle, without any harshness, where the downy impression of tannins envelops a fleshy, powerful whole. A great bottle! Delivery in wooden cases at no extra charge for orders of 12 bottles delivered in France.

Notes : Parker 91+/100, RVF 18/20, Bettane & Dessauve 17/20
"Like most of the finest Léoville-Bartons, considerable patience will be required. The 2006s will need 8 to 10 years in the cellar, and may even rival the 2005." (Robert Parker). Léoville-Barton is truly a wine for connoisseurs and patient amateurs, who know how to wait to better appreciate the immense potential of this great wine for laying down. A true model of power and complexity, 2006 is once again a benchmark for the Saint-Julien vintage.
