Château Les Justices

Château Les Justices is owned by a distinguished family from Sauternes, in the Bordeaux region. René Médeville deserves credit for establishing himself as a master craftsman of Sauternes, using long-term preservation techniques that have made Château Les Justices famous today. His son Christian succeeded him in 1959 and further developed the aging technique for the famous old vintages with the success we all know. He expanded his estates by incorporating Château Respide-Médeville, and soon established himself not only as an eminent vineyard technician, but also as an aesthete of the unique Sauternes wine.

Christian Médeville passionately manages the three estates: Château Les Justices, Château Gilette, and Château Respide-Médeville, and his efforts are bearing fruit. In 2004, his daughter Julie took up the torch with her husband, Xavier Gonet, an oenologist from a long-established family of Champagne winegrowers in the Côte des Blancs. Champagnes Gonet-Médeville was created in 2000 on the basis of a 7.5-hectare vineyard of Premiers and Grands Crus and continues the family's winegrowing adventure with passion.
