"A very fine bottle with a strong character and exciting prospects ~Yves Beck "
"Suduiraut 2019 has a powerful nose, quite oaky at the moment, though there's plenty of packed fruit behind it. The palate is dense and intense, with layers of botrytized fruit, stem ginger and quince towards the persistent, refined finish. A broad-shouldered wine, but with class. Blind, I thought maybe it was the Yquem? No, it's its neighbor. (Vinous 2023) - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 5*Stars (Outstanding producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and the world)
About the domain :
The estate now produces the great wines that its terroir allows, with perfect regularity and a complex but perfectly thought-out range of grand and second wines and two remarkable dry wines. It's hard to choose between the slightly more modern and exuberant Lion and the more classic Castelnau among the sweet second wines, as both are made without concession, with a lovely roasting of the grapes. In dry form, S has a little more density than the simple sec. Only Yquem can do a little better, especially when it comes to ageing.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (guide 2023) 2*Stars (Outstanding wine)
About the wine:
With its brilliant yellow color, this Sauternes offers a subtle, delicately floral initial nose, followed by notes of fresh apricot and vanilla, enhanced by a hint of roasted coffee. Full-bodied and generous on the palate, it's a lovely, harmonious wine, at once intense, fine and delicate, which despite its richness retains a pleasant freshness on the finish. 2027-2040
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (guide 2023) 98/100
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the wine:
Aromatically elegant, its fruit is reminiscent of tangerine, more candied than fresh. A surprisingly sweet Sauternes, as this terroir often produces muscular wines, a sweetness that grows on the wine with its grace. The liqueur is generous, but balanced by the sensation of concentrated grapes. Even if it's already drinkable, it deserves 2 or 3 years to purify its high liqueur, which is reinforced by the imprint of this great terroir.
About the domain :
This vast estate was bought by AXA Millésimes in 1992. Thanks to a geographically well-distributed vineyard, Suduiraut combines the power of Haut-Sauternais wines with the prestigious fruitiness found in the crus of the Preignac and Barsac plateaus. The result is a full-bodied nectar that ages very slowly, but which, in great years, approaches genius. Recent vintages have reached a very high level.

The palate is dense and intense, with layers of botrytized fruit, stem ginger and quince towards the persistent, refined finish. A broad-shouldered wine, but with class. Yves Beck
Rated wine (guide 2021) 97/100
About the wine:
What an intense, inviting, complex, multi-faceted bouquet. It reveals itself step by step, revealing minerality, fruit and a hint of ageing. Caramel, grilled almonds, citrus and candied oranges. The palate is full and saline. As on the nose, there's a superb symbiosis between freshness and sweetness, race and creaminess. A very fine bottle, with plenty of character and a bright outlook. 2026-2070
The Wine Cellar Insider - Jeff Leve
Rated wine (guide 2022) 97/100
About the wine:
Rich, lush, opulent, concentrated and above all vibrant and fresh. From start to finish, the wine offers an elixir of overripe pineapple, apricot, white peach, flowers, spices and honey jam. It drinks effortlessly and will give you pleasure for decades. 2022-2060
Anthocyanes - Yohan Castaing
Wine rated (2020 guide) 96-98/100
About the wine:
White fruits, spices, apricot, quince, exotic fruits. Beautifully roasted, medium-dense liquor with superb, pure, elegant tension. Excellent balance and freshness on the finish. A Suduiraut that thinks it's a Barsac.
