"Phenomenal according to James Suckling and Extraordinary according to Yves Beck!

"Dressed in sparkling gold, this 1ercru classé offers an already assertive bouquet that brings together all the assets of a great Sauternes wine. Its sumptuous aromas of candied orange and mirabelle plum jam are underscored by a subtle, refined woodiness. After a dazzling attack, with mineral notes and surprising aromas of marron glacé, the palate asserts itself with its richness and finesse, combining opulence with elegance, with notes of quince, candied orange and melon. A very complete wine, with an assertive classicism, whose concentration guarantees a happy evolution". "Suduiraut 2019 has a powerful nose, quite oaky at the moment, though there's plenty of packed fruit behind it. The palate is dense and intense, with layers of botrytized fruit, stem ginger and quince towards the persistent, refined finish. A broad-shouldered wine, but with class. Blind, I thought maybe it was the Yquem? No, it's its neighbor. "This is a beautiful, layered white wine with solid structure and intensity. Full-bodied. Lots of grapefruit and dried green mango. 54% Semillon, the rest Sauvignon. The best of all vintages " (James Suckling 2021)

"Along with Château Rieussec, Suduiraut 2010 is a candidate for the best Sauternes of the vintage. It has a superb bouquet with an immediate sense of completeness and harmony, with layers of botrytized fruit, apricot blossom, peach skin and marmalade. It's powerful but not flashy. It doesn't need to be. The palate is balanced with a viscous attack. There's plenty of botrytis here, good acidity and enormous weight on the finish." This cuvée of exceptional pedigree is intense on the nose, with notes of honey and candied fruit, and a combination of vintage maturity and freshness. The imprint of botrytis is marked, with candied fruit and elegant fruitiness. Clean and fresh, the finish shows notes of bitter orange. A pleasure to munch!
