Open, balanced and gourmet, Le Renard in its white version expresses itself on the nose with aromas of fresh herbs, white fruit and ivy leaf. Freshness on the palate, with a long, lingering finish that reveals salty, iodized nuances. A pure expression of the grape variety, an easy-drinking wine!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (2021 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

The Devillard family has expanded beyond the borders of Burgundy with the purchase of Maison Rolet in the Jura. In Mercurey, Château de Chamirey remains the largest of their Burgundy estates, with 37 hectares, including 15 Premier Cru. A special feature of the estate is the table d'hôtes in the heart of the hamlet. A skilled technical team, led by a dynamic duo, Robert Vernizeau and Enrico Peyrone, constantly strive to improve their work in the vineyards, in winemaking and in ageing, always in pursuit of excellence. The 2017 vintage was particularly successful, hitting the bull's-eye with both red and white wines in our blind tastings. A step up in our hierarchy could be coming very soon.

About the domain :

Based in Mercurey, Amaury Devillard and his sister Aurore took up the challenge in 2005 of taking over the entire distribution of the family's various estates: Ch. de Chamirey and Dom. de la Ferté (Côte Chalonnaise), Dom. des Perdrix (Côte de Nuits) and Dom. de la Garenne (Mâconnais).
