Domaine Hubert Lamy

Visit Domaine Hubert Lamy has been owned by a family of winegrowers in Saint-Aubin since 1640. Hubert Lamy created his estate in 1973 with 9 hectares, then a new winery was built in 1980 and enlarged in 2002. Olivier, his son, joined him in 1998. Today, the estate cultivates 17 hectares, including 9 Premier Cru vineyards in the communes of Saint-Aubin, Puligny Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay.

The vineyards of Domaine Hubert Lamy are planted on light, shallow (10 to 30 cm), very stony clay-limestone soils. Exposure is south or southeast, depending on the appellation. No chemical fertilizers have been used on the estate's vines for the past 10 years, but organic compost-based soil improvers are added on a rational basis. The grapes are harvested by hand, and each parcel of vines is vinified and aged separately to ensure that each wine retains the character of its terroir.
