Visit Grossot estate is located in the village of Fleys, on slopes in the heart of the Chablis vineyards. This family estate is now run by Corinne and Jean-Pierre. Grossot was born in 1920. Today, Eve Grossot, the youngest member of the family, has joined the domaine to continue the work of her grandparents and parents. It is with passion and determination that the family Grossot is committed to this adventure. The result is elegant, fine wines in the purest expression of the Chablis vineyard.

The vineyard extends over 18 hectares, located exclusively in the Chablis and Chablis 1er Crus appellations. Domaine Grossot produces 7 different white wines, all made from Chardonnay grapes: Chablis, Chablis La part des Anges and Chablis 1er Cru Vaucoupin, Mont de Milieu, Côte de Troëmes, Fourchaume and Les Fourneaux.

Domaine Grossot has been practicing integrated vineyard management for many years, obtaining Ecocert certification in 2015 after converting to organic farming. Particular care is taken in working the soil, with ploughing, grassing and the use of organic fertilizers. Vinification is carried out with the same gentle approach, followed by long ageing to allow each cuvée and vintage to evolve at its own pace, restoring the identity of the terroir.

"Radiant purity

This 1er cru Vaucoupin is magnificently pure. Ripe fruit aromas support a pure, chiselled palate. Freshness, ideal for frogs' legs en persillade, sushi or mushroom risotto. Substance and aromatic power for this 1st growth synonymous with pleasure!

"In its pale yellow color with silvery highlights, this 1ercru tiptoes with finesse. Admittedly, the nose has a hard time opening up, revealing only slightly buttery fruit notes on aeration, but the palate is more expressive and full of drive: citrus acidity adds to minerality and a woody base, before a saline finish. Please note: although the 2015 vintage is certified organic, this will not be the case for future vintages due to the major climatic difficulties that affected Chablisien in 2016 and 2017."
