Domaine Jean-Marie Bouzereau
The Bouzereau family has been cultivating vines in Meursault for over 10 generations. Today, Jean-Marie Bouzereau manages the 9-hectare vineyard in the villages of Volnay, Pommard and Beaune for red wines, and of course Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet for white wines.

At Domaine Jean-Marie Bouzereau, the grapes are harvested by hand when ripe, but without over-ripening. The reds are sorted, destemmed and macerated for a few days before fermentation begins, without yeast. The wine is aged in barrels for varying lengths of time, depending on the cuvée and the vintage. The whites are racked after 24 hours of settling: they ferment in barrels without yeast and remain on the lees until the following summer. The use of new barrels remains very moderate, varying from 10 to 30% depending on the cuvée.

"A beautiful Burgundy white!"

A fine, fruity Bourgogne Blanc with notes of dried fruit, white flowers, lime blossom and almond. Fine and delicate on the palate, this wine is full-bodied and fruity, with a hint of fatness and great suppleness. Its balance between roundness and freshness makes it an ideal aperitif from an early age, with goose rillette on toast...

A Meursault with a golden yellow color and a nose of vanilla aromas, with buttery and brioche nuances. Fullness and depth on the palate, roundness, with notes of roasted hazelnuts and acacia honey.

Rarer than the whites, Meursault reds benefit from a red clay terroir that gives them a more tannic style than their Volnay neighbors. With its brilliant ruby color, Meursault red has a subtle nose, still closed but already aromatic, with fruity and animal nuances. A very elegant wine to be aged for a few months. A Burgundy rarity not to be missed!
