A little Chablis, greedy and fruity, expressing yellow fruit and citrus. Superb tension lingers on the finish, showing a certain ageing potential. A beautiful Petit Chablis, full of charm and spirit!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 15.5/20 (Vintage 2017) (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
We've been following this domaine for some time now, and are delighted with the seriousness and steady progress of Charly Nicolle. Exploiting the terroirs of Fleys, including the two premiers crus Les Fourneaux and the easternmost part of Mont de Milieu, he extracts a short range with great density on the palate, bringing out the minerality of each cru. A sure bet for the sector.

About the domain :
Charly Nicolle's great-grandparents already cultivated vines. Following in the footsteps of previous generations, the young winemaker set off on his own adventure. Settled in Fleys, to the east of Chablis, he created his own domaine in 2011, nurturing his 17 ha of Chardonnay, and has established himself as an established name in Chablis. He also runs the family domaine of La Mandelière.

Excellent wine drunk as an aperitif, but not all that small. Just the right amount of roundness.

Without much pretension, this 2018 Petit-Chablis has a nose of hawthorn and lemon. with an enthusiastic, invigorating attack. then unfolds on a round finish. Sautéed soup with garlic and parsley was the perfect accompaniment.
