Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2016 guide) 15/20 (Very good wine)
3*Star rating (High-quality production, a benchmark in its sector)
About the wine:
Very lively and straightforward, he is precise. His youth makes him still austere.
About the domain :
Antoine and Bénédicte Vincent, brother and sister, manage this historic 40-hectare estate, spread over the Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, Mâcon and Juliénas appellations. The soils are tilled, the viticulture is integrated and the wines are aged in barrels from a single cooperage to maintain a constant, rigorous approach. Cuvées are marketed under a château range and a négociant range. The Clos and Brûlées cuvées will be classified as Premier Cru as of the 2020 vintage.

About the domain :
Today, this emblematic Fuissé estate cultivates 40 hectares of Chardonnay on the appellation's finest terroirs. The Vincent family has owned the estate since 1862, and Antoine, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, since 2003. Wines of international renown emerge from the 15th-century cellars: 80% are exported.

Wine rated (2016 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2023) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the wine:
The Clos appears a little more tapered and upright, with a sapid finish.
About the domain :
This historic estate has belonged to the Vincent family since 1862. The château boasts many old vines. Since 2003, Antoine Vincent has vinified all the major Mâconnais appellations here, including two Premier Crus in Fuissé, as well as a small 3-hectare vineyard in Juliénas. In 2020, we salute the mastery of woody ageing and the more homogeneous management adapted to this great vintage.
