About the wine:
Perfectly cultivated and vinified 80-year-old Chardonnays have produced this pale gold wine with its original aromatic range: mango, vine peach, passion fruit and quince. Round on the palate, it gains in power and volume, stretching into a long, spicy finish.
About the domain :
Touched by the viticulture bug from an early age, accompanying his parents in the vineyards, Guy Saumaize naturally turned to the winegrowing profession; he also created a nursery that is recognized and frequented by many of the region's growers. Annie, his wife, took over when he passed away in 2013. Since 2018, their son Guillaume has been at the helm of this 15-hectare estate, whose name he has changed from Dom. des Maillettes to Dom. G. Saumaize.
