irresistible

Supple and satiny, this superb Pouilly-Fuissé reveals itself. In an unrivalled classic style, this is a luminous, precise white with highly expressive fruit. Ripe Chardonnay combines freshness and minerality with floral and chalky notes. The palate is fine and chiselled, a fine entry-level wine, sapid and salivating. Ideal as an aperitif. We succumb...

Rated 14.5/20 (Vintage 2018) (Good wine)

Domain rated (guide 2021) Selected (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the domains that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).

About the domain :

The Parinet family, owners of Château du Moulin-à-Vent, acquired this 4.2-hectare estate in the village of Pouilly in 2016. Management, from vineyard to vinification, has been entrusted to Brice Laffond, already in charge of their property in Beaujolais. The majority of their vineyards are old vines, cultivated organically without certification. The first vintages suggest that we have here one of tomorrow's leading domains , the irruption of a new and serious competitor in Mâconnais. The 2017s appeared on the previous edition of our guide alongside the Château du Moulin-à-Vent crus. Vers Cras, Chailloux and Bouthières will logically be among the future first growths of Pouilly-Fuissé. The 2018s continue the qualitative ascent of this young estate, beautifully illustrating their terroirs with well-adapted maturation.
