Gault & Millau
"An iconic cuvée reflecting the style of the House: freshness, intensity, and elegance of fruit."
"A blend of four parts black grapes (Pinot Noir and Meunier) to one part white grapes. Toasty, honeyed, floral, and apricot notes make for a very inviting approach. Rich, generous, and long, the palate delivers on the nose's promise, unfolding flattering aromas of stewed summer fruits, energized by a lemony finish." (Le Guide Hachette)

3-star rating (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Part of the Thiénot group, Canard-Duchêne has cleverly rejuvenated its image by creating a range of organic wines. The brand produces smooth, easy-drinking champagnes and aperitifs, all well-structured and approachable. Led by Laurent Fédou, an experienced and innovative cellar master, the house has made spectacular progress in recent vintages, focusing also on its mid-range champagnes, with the aim of further revealing its terroirs and its vision of Pinot Noir. In short, the Ludes-based house is accelerating its projects, and this is evident in its wines, which are all better defined than in the past.

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Wine rated 90/100
About wine:
A bouquet of freshness combines the scents of wildflowers, spring meadows, and fresh sea air with a hint of flint. This freshness is reflected in a delicately lemony texture, which evolves as you taste it, developing chalky and spicy notes before a finish highlighted by hints of clementine.
