Notes : RVF 17.5/20, Bettane & Desseauve 17/20
"Very, very great Bianco-Gentile 2009 with a noble reduction and an impressively long, full-bodied mouthfeel." (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2011 - RVF). "Broad, generous, great depth of flavor, great richness." (Le Grand Guide des Vins de France 2011 - Bettane & Desseauve). This excellent white, from the rare grape variety whose name it bears, is simply grandiose, with an exceptionally long finish!

Expert opinion
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine rated (2012 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning connoisseurs).
About the domain :
"A meticulous winegrower and Patrimonio leader, Antoine Arena is convinced that the identity of Corsican wines depends on healthy viticulture, in particular tillage, and the most natural winemaking possible. This noble cause also takes into account - and this is essential - the potential conferred on autochthonous grape varieties on selected terroirs, making it possible to produce a whole series of strong identity cuvées, from the famous Cuvée Carco to Grotte di Sol, and the most recent, Morta Maïo. While some vintages have seen excesses of over-ripeness (with "dry" whites with high residual sugar levels) and power in the reds, recent vintages have seen a more accurate and precise balance and finesse of extraction. Today, Antoine's sons, Jean-Baptiste and Antoine-Marie, have given the estate a new impetus, notably with the desire to develop ageing in wood. An estate that has never had a dull moment!

From memory, I've found it too "hot", a strong man! After that, it's also a question of taste. Because Arena doesn't make bad wines. For me, the best winegrower in Corsica.

full-bodied (note 14°), perfumed, long on the palate. Meursault Corse, but with a southern twist....
