Bullas is a Spanish Denomination of Origin (DO) for wines produced in the Murcia region of Spain, covering the territories of eight municipalities, including Caravaca de la Cruz, Moratalla and Bullas itself. The region is renowned for its young reds and rosés made from the Monastrell grape variety, which accounts for over 80% of all grape varieties planted.
The Bullas appellation also permits Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Grenache. On the other hand, the only white grapes allowed are Macabeo (the majority) and Airén.
