Bullas
Bullas is a Spanish Denomination of Origin (DO) for wines produced in the Murcia region of Spain, covering the territories of eight municipalities, including Caravaca de la Cruz, Moratalla and Bullas itself. The region is renowned for its young reds and rosés made from the Monastrell grape variety, which accounts for over 80% of all grape varieties planted.

The Bullas appellation also permits Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Grenache. On the other hand, the only white grapes allowed are Macabeo (the majority) and Airén.

87/100 Robert Parker

"The 2012 Tres P red is a blend of hand-harvested Monastrell and Tempranillo. Dark, crimson-colored, the nose is an explosion of strawberry, raspberry, lactic notes and a touch of spice, with some reminiscences of carbonic maceration. The palate shows good fruit aromas, with the Monastrell character showing itself to be stronger than the Tempranillo, with fine tannins, low acidity and a finely bitter finish. For the table, with lamb chops, for example." (Wine Advocate 2013 - Robert Parker)

François Chidaine applies the same high standards of quality to this Spanish vineyard as he does in the Loire, producing a white wine with an intense nose of citrus and exotic fruit, and an elegant freshness and fleshy fruitiness on the palate. The long finish lets you enjoy the full generosity of this lovely wine...
