About the wine:
I also tasted a new (at least to me) Garnacha called Sekeida 2018, which mentions Mountain Vineyard and Garnacha Ibérica on its label. It's a selection of old-vine Grenache, quite ripe and generously oaked, which has been aged in 500-liter French oak barrels for 12 months. It has notes of dark chocolate and espresso, roasted and toasted, quite dominated by oak. It's ripe and a little heady, with a round, lush mouthfeel where the oak flavors interfere a little too much for me. For lovers of woody reds. Bottled in December 2019.
