Hacienda Terra d'Uro
Hacienda Terra d'Uro was founded by Oscar Garrote, Cristiano Van Zeller and Javier "Pipa" Ortega. Together, they run three vineyards: Finca de Rana, Finca El Romeral and Finca La Coscojosa. These vineyards are located on a unique terroir in Bardales, 750 meters above sea level, with pre-phylloxera vines over 140 years old.
Most of the operations carried out at Hacienda Terra d'Uro are manual, with the most natural inputs possible. Fermentation of Terra d'Uro wines takes place in 225L Bordeaux barrels. Aging lasts between 12 and 24 months, in new barrels. There is no filtration or clarification, in order to fully respect the natural qualities of the wines, which are powerful yet velvety.

Hacienda Terra d'Uro - Toro Finca La Rana 2011
3.8/5 (24 reviews)
92/100 Robert Parker
"The 2011 Finca La Rana seems to present itself in a lighter style, with a bright ruby color and a nose blending red and black fruits and a spicy floral note with hints of Mediterranean herbs, dried meat and licorice, not unlike some elegant wines from the Northern Rhône. The palate is medium-bodied, very approachable, juicy and supple. A great Toro that represents good value. Bravo! Drink now through 2016." (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)
