Abbots Delaunay
Abbotts & Delaunay wines are the result of a meeting between two passionate oenologists, and embody the know-how and exacting standards of the Languedoc region in a precise, modern style. Founded in 2005, the Abbotts & Delaunay domaine in Alon, Aude, covers 15 hectares and includes 25 parcels scattered across the hills of Magrie in the foothills of the Cévennes. Fascinated by the richness of the Languedoc-Roussillon terroirs, the Australian-Burgundian duo showcase the vineyard's formidable potential through wines that are full of charm and precision, and acclaimed by the world's greatest wine-lovers. Terrasses of rolled pebbles, sandstone, marl, limestone scree and schist scorched by the sun and swept by powerful winds make up the richness of this vineyard where Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Viognier, Grenache, Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan and Pinot Noir express themselves. Elegance, depth and balance sum up this collection of high-end wines from the Corbières, Minervois, Faugères and Limoux Languedoc-Roussillon appellations.

"The 2018 Corbières A Tire d'Aile Syrah-Grenache blend seems to favor the Syrah side, with peppery aromas with notes of blueberry, garrigue and crushed stone. From the same vineyard as the Minervois, it seems more complex but in the same style; medium-bodied, supple, ready to drink over the next few years. Like its companion, it 's a sure bet " (Wine Advocate 2020 - Joe Czerwinski).

"Crazy charm"

"A blend of Picpoul and Roussanne, 40% of which aged in oak barrels. A Tire d'Aile blanc 2019 offers scents of lime zest and melon on the nose.A light fat, it's refreshing and easy to drink, with wood well integrated into the wine. Enjoy now." (Wine Advocate 2020 - Joe Czerwinski ) A lovely burst of freshness!

(2016 vintage notes)

"Parcel selection

From the "Nuages et Vents" range, Cumulo Nimbus comes from a plot of old vines at altitude. The wine is complex, dense, combining power and finesse. Powerful black fruits, cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry, enhanced by notes of pepper and licorice. Long and deep on the palate, with elegant tannins and a fresh, silky finish. A "chic cuvée with great fruity persistence". (Terre de Vins - January 2020)
