Clos des Nines
3/5See the 1 reviews
After a successful reconversion with a degree in Viticulture-Oenology in Montpellier, Isabelle Mangeart, supported by her family, discovered the winegrowing profession. In a 10-hectare single plot on the Mourres hill, she took over 8 hectares of vines and 2 hectares of olive trees between Sète and Montpellier, and created the Clos des Nines ("girls" in Occitan). The site is classified as a Natura 2000 site, surrounded by low dry-stone walls and dominated by a typical capitelle
landscape.
Clos des Nines is certified organic. Sitting on a Kimmeridgian basin, the Clos des Nines vineyard soils are strewn with fossilized oysters and limestone pebbles. Typically Languedoc, they are essentially clay-limestone, and are home to red grape varieties. The clay preserves the potential acidity of the grapes, essential for the freshness and
the wines. White grape varieties are planted on sandy-loam soils with a pebbly load, favoring good water drainage.

Clos des Nines - Grès de Montpellier L'Orée 2019
Grès de Montpellier|Red wine|Organic
3/5 (1 review)
16/20 Bettane & Desseauve
L'Orée reflects the aromas of the surrounding garrigues, brambleberries and red berries, with hints of smoke and chocolate. A true terroir wine, the palate expresses itself with charm, with a silky, full attack. The floral finish is refreshingly thirst-quenching.
Clos des Nines - Coteaux du Languedoc Obladie 2021
Coteaux du Languedoc|White wine|Organic
This gastronomic white wine reveals the full expression of the Fabrègues terroir in a very southern blend (Grenache blanc, Roussane, Vermentino, Viognier). The attack is round, rich and intensely aromatic, with a spicy finish. A cuvée that goes well with poultry in cream sauce and mushrooms.
