City of Carcassonne
An essential pilgrimage site in Languedoc-Roussillon, the City of Carcassonne is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The vineyards stretch mainly along the hillsides, within a 20 km radius of the city, covering some 3,000 hectares of vines in some twenty communes.

Between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Cité de Carcassonne vineyard benefits from a dual climatic influence, with two alternating winds: a warm, humid Mediterranean breeze tempered by the Cers, a dry, temperate Atlantic wind. This harmony produces wines that are fresh, fruity, elegant and typical of the terroir.

Wines from the Cité de Carcassonne are made from both Mediterranean (Grenache, Syrah, Carignan...) and Atlantic (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot...) grape varieties.

"Small price, big delight!"

Here's a Sauvignon that will make everyone agree! With a flattering nose of citrus and verbena, followed by a delicately lemony palate and a very reasonable price! It's a perfect match for a seafood platter. In summer, it's a perfect match for aperitifs and barbecues.

"Superb value for money for this harmonious wine".

"A hint of evolution in the color and aromas of this Merlot-dominated blend. The nose reveals a lovely complexity of cooked fruit, sweet spices and undergrowth. Soft tannins, a pleasant roundness and a very spicy finish add to the charm of this wine, which should be drunk on its fruit." (Le Guide Hachette 2024).

"Aromas of black fruit, violets, spices, warm mouthfeel, with a savory structure, a lovely grain of tannin, fruit that's almost overripe and a nervous finish. A fine, authentic cuvée ". (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France) Parcel selection of Carignan and Syrah vieilles vignes combined for a racy, characterful cuvée.

"Carignan aficionados

This very old Carignan, over 70 years old, is perfectly balanced between power and softness. A lovely cuvée de terroir, delicious and full of fruit, blueberry and blackcurrant, with great depth and silky tannins. A fine achievement, to share with friends!

This very old Carignan, over 70 years old, turns red at the sight of its color. On the nose, fresh notes of cherry and blackcurrant reveal the greediness and crispness found on the palate. The balance between power and sweetness is perfect. A lovely cuvée de terroir!
