Monts de la Grage
Les Monts de la Grage is a communal appellation in the Hérault department that has benefited from a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) since the decree of January 25, 1982. Vin de pays des Monts de la Grage is made from grapes harvested in the communes of Assignan, Babeau-Bouldoux, Pierrerue, Prades-sur-Vernazobre, Saint-Chinian and Villespassans.

The terroir of the Monts de la Grage Protected Geographical Indication is based on clay-limestone and schist soils, and benefits mainly from the influence of the Mediterranean climate. Vin de pays des Monts de la Grage wines must come from areas planted exclusively with the grape variety concerned.

Each variety of Vin de Pays des Monts de la Grage is vinified separately, and the name of the variety must appear on each container. Monts de la Grage wines can be produced in any of three colors, making for a range of discoveries, like those offered by Mas Champart.

This vin de pays des Monts de la Grage is a single-varietal 100% Viognier, from vines planted in 1993 on a limestone plateau. Vinified 80% in vats and 20% in multi-wine barrels, it is aromatic, without heaviness, and retains the fine minerality of the estate's wines. Open with friends as an aperitif, or why not with seafood?
