Les Terrasses Cévenoles

When it was founded in 1951, the Cave Coopérative Les Terrasses Cévénoles has 120 members. Until then mainly focused on the production of table wine, the winery moved towards a more qualitative strategy in the mid-80s by organizing the inputs, matching the grape varieties to the most suitable terroirs...

Les Terrasses Cévénoles organized its range of wines in the mid-2000s: Cigalois at the entry level, Monteyrac, Roche-Fourcade and, in 2011, the Les Claris organic range. So, to date, Les Terrasses Cévénoles offers a total of 21 white, red, rosé and sparkling wines, in IGP Cévennes and AOC Languedoc.

Situated at the foot of the first slopes of the Cevennes, the vines are subject to two distinct climates: the Mediterranean climate and the Cevennes micro-climate due to the presence of mountains. The combination of these two climates enables the cooperative winegrowers to produce Terrasses Cévénoles to produce ripe grapes, while maintaining a good level of acidity synonymous with freshness, liveliness and good keeping qualities, with a beautiful aromatic intensity typical of Cévennes wines.
