The appellation Muscat from Saint Jean de Minervois is located in the Languedoc region and has been one of the region's oldest appellations since 1948. This small appellation covers some 200 hectares, with an annual production of 6,000 hectolitres, and includes just 6 estates and the cooperative winery producing 80% of the wines.
Known exclusively for its Natural Sweet Wines, Muscat de Saint Jean de Minervois appellation goes back to a tradition that began in the late 19th century under the impetus of winemaker Edouard Jean.
Situated on a terroir of poor soils, a plateau of hard limestone, at an altitude of between 250 and 280 meters with a high level of sunshine, the stones release the heat accumulated during the day, helping to ripen the aromatic compounds in the grapes. However, the cool nights ensure a good balance between alcohol, sugar and acidity.
Vin Doux Naturel Muscat Saint Jean de Minervois is made exclusively from the Muscat à petit grain grape variety, which, thanks to the mutage technique (addition of alcohol during alcoholic fermentation) retains some of its natural sugars to produce a sweet nectar. The wines develop aromas of exotic fruit, citrus and white-fleshed fruit, and offer formidable balance on the palate, combining power and freshness, harmony and persistence.

3*Coup de Coeur Hachette
"Cuvée Bleue is a true Barroubio in its complexity and delicate aromas: an extraordinary garden with heady aromas of rose, hawthorn and lime blossom. Perfect balance, sweetness and elegance, soft and loose shapes, intensity and refinement, evocations of apricot sorbet invigorated by a sprig of mint: a rare harmony".
