Clos Marie
Le Clos Marie is an estate nestled at the foot of the Pic Saint-Loup, in the Languedoc wine region. Since 1995, Le Clos Marie has offered a range of wines much sought-after by discerning wine-lovers. Whether white or red, each cuvée brilliantly expresses the nuances of its terroir, in both the Pic Saint Loup and Coteaux du Languedoc appellations.

The 20-hectare Clos Marie estate is farmed biodynamically by Françoise Julien and Christophe Peyrus, who work tirelessly to cultivate their vines and vinify their cuvées as naturally and traditionally as possible. Their hard work has been rewarded by steadily improving quality, making Clos Marie an essential part of the Pic Saint-Loup appellation.

Following the hailstorms that hit the Clos Marie vineyard hard, Françoise Julien and Christophe Peyrus decided to blend the different parcels making up the Simon, Métairies and Glorieuses cuvées to create the Clos Marie cuvée in 2016. This exceptional cuvée is greedy and crisp, with the estate's signature brio.

Following the hail storms of 2016, Clos Marie saw its vintage harvest destroyed. So, with the support of neighboring winegrowers and friends, Françoise Julien and Christophe Peyrus propose the cuvée Les Trois Saisons rouge. This typically Languedoc cuvée is delicious, fresh, fruity and spicy. A wine in the image of its history: generous!

Les 3 Saisons is a fine example of solidarity among Languedoc winegrowers. Due to the hail that affected the Clos Marie vineyard in 2016, the estate's neighbors provided the grapes needed to supplement the small harvest. The result is a white with a lovely personality, featuring notes of sweet spices, thyme and fennel, with subtle acidity and beautiful bitters on the finish.

Clos Marie - Les Métairies du Clos 2010

Métairies du Clos is the grand blanc of Le Clos, opening with slightly acid yellow fruit notes. The fruit of a blend of Carignan blanc, Clairette and Rolle, it is rich, intense and round on the palate, and thanks to its ageing, plays on the register of elegance, without heaviness, all in finesse. A wine to discover!
