Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2024) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
A cooperative founded in 1922, L'Ormarine - then the Association des producteurs de vins blancs de Pinet - is a major player in the defense of the picpoul-de-pinet appellation. After merging with the caves of Villeveyrac (2009) and Cournonterral (2014), and then in 2017 with the caves of Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort and Vias, it now has 500 cooperative members and 2,500 ha, 520 of which are dedicated to the picpoul grape alone.

Golden yellow with green reflections and a beautiful brilliance, the nose is generous, offering intense aromas of exotic fruit, followed by candied citrus zest. The palate reveals a beautiful balance, round and allowing notes of exotic fruit and citrus to express themselves. After an enveloping attack, the palate is invigorated by that famous acid edge typical of wines from this terroir.
