"Clair de Lune? The other name for Chenin (or Pineau de la Loire). The brilliant pale yellow color of this 2015 evokes the color of the star at night. Fermented and aged in barrels, this wine reveals a wide range of aromas on the nose: white flowers, apple, boxwood, lemon and citrus. Delicate, white-flowery nose enlivened by light citrus notes and a hint of minerality. Also very subtle notes of barrel (buttery). Lively and straightforward on the palate. Lime predominates from the attack to the finish, while retaining a certain elegance. A very nice discovery! Tasted with lobster and salt-crusted sea bass.
