"For his first year at the helm of the domaine, Philippe Ivanic strikes a blow with this moelleux from a plot of old vines planted in curved rows. The must was vinified in barrels, where it remained for eleven months. The color is pale with golden highlights. The nose, still discreet, is focused on fruit. The palate develops long and harmoniously, without hiding its mellowness, releasing aromas of honey, pineapple and ripe grapes, underpinned by a freshness that's just right. Already excellent, and for a long time to come ". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2019)

About the wine:
For his first year at the helm of the domaine, Philippe Ivanic strikes a chord with this moelleux from a plot of old vines planted in curved rows. The must was vinified in barrels, where it remained for eleven months. The color is pale with golden highlights. The nose, still discreet, is focused on fruit. The palate develops long and harmoniously, without hiding its mellowness, releasing aromas of honey, pineapple and ripe grapes, underpinned by an appropriate freshness. Already excellent, and for a long time to come.
About the domain :
After studying at Beaune's "Viti" and spending 2 years at La Croix Mélier intermittently with his former job as an actor, in 2017 Philippe Ivancic took over from Pascal Berthelot and his 12.5 ha of vines, which he cultivates with his wife Dominique. Currently undergoing organic conversion.

A magnificent Chenin that deserves to be better known.

Drank in 10/20. Nose of white fruit (pear, peach). Full-bodied, ample and well-balanced on the palate. Plenty of fullness and pleasure.

Unfortunately, the wine was corked. A pity, it seemed to have great potential for pleasure.
