Vignobles Patrice Moreux
Vignobles Patrice Moreux takes root in the Loire in two flagship Sauvignon appellations, Pouilly Fumé and Sancerre, bringing together two winegrowing families through the marriage of Jeannin Corty and Raymond Moreux in 1955. The Pouilly Fumé vineyard covers 30 hectares on 4 terroirs, including the famous "Loge aux Moines", a historic site occupied by Benedictine monks as early as the 11th century. Today, this 4.5-hectare Monopole overlooks the Loire on Kimmeridgian marl soils similar to those found in Chablis. The other Loire appellation, Sancerre, is also on the map. Patrice Moreux on 6 hectares of clay-limestone vines in Chavignol and Crézancy. Finally, the Vignobles Patrice Moreux has owned Domaine des Vingtinières, a 35-hectare Côtes de Provence estate in the Maures mountains, since 1979.

Today, Patrice Moreux's sons, Arnaud and Julien, have taken over from the previous generations of winegrowers, with a constant desire to share their passion and know-how.

" Always a favorite in the range, it's both warm and fruity and soft and structured - tart and juicy with lemon citrus and white fruit, as well as a hint of herbaceous pepper, and deeply mineral. Wonderful harmony and balance, and long aging potential. This is a serious wine, which just begs to be accompanied by shellfish or smoked fish." (Decanter)

"In its new look

"More open on the nose than the younger 2019 vintage, this wine has the same concentration, structure and finesse. Think citrus lemon zest, wet pits and mineral tension. This is a true terroir wine, and a joy to drink." (Wine Enthusiast) A Monopole on a parcel of exceptional terroir!
