Domaine de La Roche Moreau - Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru 2021
3*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
"A resounding success! An ideal Quarts de Chaume for your holiday celebrations."
"Combining great maturity and finesse, this rich and powerful sweet wine, aged without oak, displays superb balance. We are already enjoying its notes of candied lemon, dulce de leche, apricot, and mango, and its full, long, and delicate palate, which stretches out its fruit with finesse. The concentration never takes over and the freshness is always present. A monument, to be reserved for itself or with a light dessert such as a citrus or summer fruit salad." (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

About wine:
Combining great maturity and finesse, this rich and powerful sweet wine, aged without the use of wood, displays superb balance. We are already enjoying its notes of candied lemon, dulce de leche, apricot, and mango, as well as its full, long, and delicate palate, which stretches out its fruit with finesse. The concentration never takes over, and the freshness is always present. A monument, to be reserved on its own or with a light dessert such as a citrus or summer fruit salad.
About the estate:
This 28-hectare estate, run by the Davy family for five generations, is located on the Corniche Angevine between the Loire and Layon valleys. The old wine cellar is listed (17th century) and the cellar is housed in a disused coal mine, where the wines are left to mature. A sure bet in the Anjou wine region, often in the spotlight for its sweet wines, Coteaux-du-Layon and Quarts-de-Chaume in particular.
