Daniel Crochet
This family estate between Bué and Sancerre is now in the hands of the 4th generation and run by Daniel Crochet and his wife Véronique. Since 1996, the domaine Daniel Crochet has grown to 9.75 hectares, with 6.37 hectares of Sauvignon and 3.38 hectares of Pinot Noir. This estate produces Sancerre wines of great consistency from year to year, respecting the typicity of the terroir.

The Daniel Crochet vineyard is essentially made up of two main soil types: Terres Blanches, composed of clay and limestone, and Caillottes, which is very stony and chalky. The vines are cultivated using organic methods, without the use of chemical fertilizers or weedkillers.

"An assertive Sancerrois

Produced in small quantities, just 40 ares, this red wine is a blend of selected old vines. The expression of Pinot Noir on clay-limestone soil and Kimmeridgian marl reveals an assertive Sancerrois! A complex, precise nose reminiscent of blueberry and blackberry extends into a powerful palate, built on ripe tannins and supported by a woody base.
