Note and review by M. DIDIER P. Published on 05/04/2018

The Sercial grape is full-bodied and astringent. With a 1995 vintage, time has mellowed it and turned it into a splendor. Caramelized vanilla on the nose, with a delicate hint of coffee. On the palate, prunes and spices dominate, as do raisins, walnuts and almonds, without overpowering the mouth, as there remains a base of astringency that airs the whole. Inimitable impression and taste, a little harsh at the start of the palate, which melts into a fine, long-lasting tail.
