Setúbal
South of Lisbon, between the Tejo and Sado rivers, lies the Setúbal peninsula. With limestone soils in the hills and sandy on the plains, many grape varieties are present, including castelao, trincadeira preta and touriga nacional for the reds, and moscatel de Setúbal, arinto, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc for the whites.

This region offers two appellation (DOC) wines. Setúbal, which produces a fortified sweet wine made from moscatel de Setúbal, and Palmela, which has two different terroirs. The limestone soil produces great white wines, while the sandy soil inland is dominated by the castelao grape.

Autocarro n°38 is a white wine to be enjoyed simply. Its intense nose, with notes of lemon and flint, brings a lovely tension that carries over to the palate. It's the perfect companion for aperitifs or mixed salads. A perfect summer wine
