Bégude Estate
TheDomaine de la Bégude is a 500-hectare estate in the heart of unspoiled nature, consisting of scrubland and preserved forests. It extends over the territory of La Cadière d'Azur, a village near Le Castellet in Provence. In September 2022, the estate, which had been run by the Tari family since 1996, was bought by Christian Roulleau, owner since 2019 of the Margaux Grand Cru Classé Château Dauzac and 51% of the Bordeaux wine merchant Maison Montagnac.

The Domaine de la Bégudevineyard is a unique site, occupying 30 hectares of the property, which also includes a large olive grove. It is planted with seven different white and red grape varieties and overlooks the sea. This vineyard produces red, rosé, and white wines belonging to the Bandol AOC, one of the oldest wine appellations in France. The vines are located 410 meters above sea level, at the highest point of the Bandol appellation.

The vines are cultivated using ECOCERT-certified organic farming methods, and the grapes are harvested manually. The red wines produced are made predominantly from Mourvèdre grapes and aged in barrels, while the rosé wines are made from pressed and bled grapes. As for the white wines, made mainly from Clairette grapes with a touch of Ugni Blanc and Rolle, they are produced in very small quantities.
