Château Pradeaux
Château Pradeaux tells a story, a memory. It was Arlette Portalis and her mother Suzanne who, during the 39-45 war, came to rehabilitate the estate destroyed by the occupation. With the help of Baron Leroy, founder of the INAO, they embarked on the Bandol and Mourvèdre adventure.

Cyrille is the only descendant and, along with the land, Arlette has passed on her passion for Bandol. Since 1985, he has been the sole winemaker at Château Pradeaux, the champion of authentic earthwork, the heir to the passion for Mourvèdre and its patient ageing in oak tuns. Each generation gives of its best, crafting the precious nectar with respect and love. Each brings his own personal touch, his own modernity, without denying the heritage received from the elders. Thus, the family adventure continues, and Château Pradeaux continues to fascinate the current descendants of the Portalis family.

Château Pradeaux offers two Bandol crus: a red Bandol made from a blend of Mourvèdre and Grenache, and a Bandol Rosé made from Mourvèdre and Cinsault. The wines of Château Pradeaux reflect the qualities of the estate, whose origins date back to 1752. A family in harmony with the terroir, vines and olive trees cradled by the sea breeze, all bathed in sunshine.

"The color is pale and the nose discreet, expressing a panoply of fruit ranging from peach to red fruit to citrus, not forgetting the essential note of garrigue. It remains in the house style with pronounced tannins, and its fine bitters will make it an excellent gastronomic partner at the table". (Les Meilleurs Vins de France - Gault Millau). A frank, fine rosé, with aromas of red fruit, redcurrant, fine spices and great elegance...

Château Pradeaux 2010

"A splendidly dense Bandol red with a deep garnet-red color and purplish highlights (85% Mourvèdre, 15% Cinsault). Remarkably fragrant on the palate, with notes of fresh pepper, violets and licorice, supported by fine tannins and great length. A cuvée of rare elegance. Long ageing expected. Enjoy with game of character". (RVF Hors Série - Best of 2015) Lots of charm!

"Mourvèdre dominates Cinsault in this beautiful red, floral, airy, with superb aromatic freshness. This is the result of the whole-cluster approach to winemaking, which gives the wine plenty of sparkle and finesse, as well as a tension that pulls the wine along." (Le Guide des bonnes affaires du vin 2015 - Gerbelle & Maurange). A Blandol revealing beautiful notes of ripe berries... A success!
