Côtes de Provence
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
Jacqueline Bichot, a pharmacist turned winemaker, has fallen under the spell of this ideally situated vineyard, with Mont Sainte-Victoire as a backdrop. We're at an altitude of 400 metres, in an area where freshness is reflected in the wines. The Sainte-Victoire terroir produces pure, elegant wines that are perfectly in tune with their terroir. With organic and biodynamic certification acquired in 2017, she validates the seriousness of her approach and continues to pamper her 47 hectares of vines on clay-limestone soil, typical of the appellation.

About the domain :
The estate takes its name from the chapel of Saint-Ser, dedicated to a 5th-century hermit who, ignoring the threats of Visigoth ruler Enric, was beheaded. Managed biodynamically, the 46-hectare vineyard stretches over a privileged terroir of limestone pebbles on the southern slopes of Mont Sainte-Victoire, where the grapes benefit from maximum sunshine.
