Clos Saint Antonin
Comprising a walled vineyard and an old farmhouse in Jonquière, Clos Saint Antonin is a 14-hectare estate acquired at the end of 2014 by the Sabon family, who already own Domaine de la Janasse in Courthézon.
Located in the Jonquières commune, here's the origin of the Clos Saint Antonin name: In the middle of 14 hectares of vines stands an old building dating from the 18th century, bearing the inscription "St Antonin" on its façade, as well as the logo on the bottle. The name St Antonin can be found on maps dating back to Napoleon.

Today, Clos St Antonin is a traditional family business, run with respect for the terroir, the environment and future generations.
Elegant reflections of the appellations of the northern Rhône Valley, the cuvées are crafted with finesse and fruit in AOC Côtes du Rhône and Villages Plan de Dieu, Châteauneuf du Pape or IGP Principauté d'Orange on parcels further south of the Clos on sandy soils.

"An upmarket village that blends Grenache with Mourvèdre and Syrah. What pleased us so much? The distinguished, ripe nose, with its elegant combination of candied fruits, wild strawberries, floral notes and fine spices. Then there's the paradoxical palate, at once warm and dynamic, taut and mellow, which impresses with its extraordinary volume, preserved freshness, fine tannins and deep, liquorice-like fruit. An air of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. For laying down". (Le Guide des Vins Hachette 2021)

"What a Favorite for this Châteauneuf!"

"There's only one foudre of the 2018 Châteauneuf du Pape, and it's all destemmed Grenache from sandy soils in the Font de Loup and St Georges lieux-dits. Kirsch, blackberries, orange zest Flowery incense notes give way to a dense to full-bodied Grenache that offers a complex, seamless texture, solid tannins and a beautiful finish. This classic, elegant wine has great character and is yet another example of a great terroir in the hands of incredible winemakers " (Jeb Dunnuck) Powdered and intense, this grand cuvée is the very reflection of all the complexity and elegance of Châteauneuf du Pape.
