The Joncier estate Located between the villages of Tavel and Lirac, it was created in 1964 by Pierre Roussel, an agricultural engineer. In 1970, the estate's cellar was built in the heart of the magnificent village of Tavel. Since 1989, his daughter Marine Roussel has given the estate a new lease of life. The magnetism of this exceptional terroir, the strength of the earth, and the magic of the vine and wine won her over. She now runs the estate with passion. In 1989, Marine Roussel, a graphic designer by trade and daughter of Pierre Roussel, returned to her family's land, like a return to her roots, and breathed new life into the Joncier estate. Self-taught, she trained herself in her new profession as a winemaker, but in her own way, through encounters and reading.

Today, the Joncier estatecomprises 32 hectares of vineyards located in Tavel, cultivated using biodynamic methods and certified by Demeter. Marine Roussel is determined and trusts her Lirac terroir and grape varieties: Mourvèdre, Grenache, Syrah, etc., favoring low yields, gentle and minimal intervention winemaking (no yeast, no wood), and very long macerations. She produces wines that are true to themselves, intense without being excessive, distinguished without being feminine. It's a balancing act between the soul of the terroir, the temperament of the grape variety, and the creativity of a winemaker who has finally found her way.
