Parcé Frères - Collioure Le Petit Gus blanc 2022
3*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
"Reveals a floral bouquet of vine blossom and citrus notes."
"This 100% Grenache Gris, grown on schist soil, vinified and aged in oak barrels, made a strong impression. With its attractive pale, bright, and clear color, its elegant nose of vanilla, lemon, and fresh butter, and above all its full, round, fresh, and very fine palate with admirable length. A distinguished white wine, to be reserved for a choice dish, such as truffled scallop tartare." (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

Both full-bodied and supple, the palate offers a beautiful balance between a very fine freshness and a subtle aromatic complexity with floral and citrus notes, counterbalanced by a touch of richness. The gentle acidity brings growing tension towards a remarkable finish marked by delicate bitter notes. R.Q/P. Hard to beat. This gem was chosen to enhance a choice dish, namely oven-baked John Dory on a bed of crunchy vegetables. Rating = 4.2.

Review and opinion by Mr. CHRISTOPHE D. Published on 04/30/2024
This wine is a wonderful discovery, with a bouquet of white flowers and citrus fruits and a long finish with a gentle bitterness. Ideal as an aperitif, with fish or scallops. I recommend this wine to lovers of distinguished wines. A white wine to have in your cellar, which I think will age well.
