"The jury just about fell in love with it. The floral freshness of the Macabeu and the luscious fruitiness of the Vermentino combine to create this golden white. Verbena and mint for some tasters, magnolia or rose for others, exotic fruit or lemon zest, the notes diverge; one point of agreement: the nose is complex. Well-constructed, full-bodied, with a rare generosity, this wine enchants above all with its acidic edge that carries the finish through, in harmony with the liveliness of its passion fruit and lime aromas". About the wine:
It came very close to being a "coup de coeur", which just goes to show how much the jury liked it. The floral freshness of the Macabeu and the luscious fruitiness of the Vermentino combine to create this golden white. Verbena and mint for some tasters, magnolia or rose for others, exotic fruit or lemon zest, the notes diverge; one point of agreement: the nose is complex. Well-constructed, full-bodied, with a rare generosity, this wine enchants above all with the acid edge that carries the finish through, in harmony with the liveliness of passion fruit and lime aromas.
About the domain :
Of the building constructed in the 12th century by Cistercian monks, all that remains is the superb tower set into the rock. Jean and Bernard Dauré bought the estate in 1974. The mid-19th-century silkworm nursery now houses the Espace d'art contemporain, which adjoins one of France's first winegrowers' restaurants, open in summer. The vineyard covers 90 ha.

About the wine:
Light gold color. Rich nose, with hints of dried white fruit on a background of sweet spices, spring flowers and hay. Dense and fleshy on the palate. Slender acidity introduces the aromatic palette. Mineral finish. A white wine in the making.

The nose is very rich and the palate powerful. Be careful not to serve it too cold, as it will create an imbalance between the two. I really liked it, very good q/p ratio.
