Clos Lapeyre
Clos Lapeyre, located in the heart of the Jurançon appellation, was bought by Jean Larrieu in 1920. His son Marcel continued the hard work of cultivating the Clos Lapeyre vineyard, developing cattle breeding and strawberry cultivation.

Today managed by Jean-Bernard Larrieu, the Clos Lapeyre vineyard covers 17 hectares, and is located on the slopes of the Jurançon AOC, occupying the top of the plateau with varied exposures ranging from due south, facing the Pic du Midi d'Ossau, to south-east or south-west. Farmed organically, Clos Lapeyre gives pride of place to the local grape varieties: gros manseng and petit manseng, which produce wines of character that rank among the elite of the Jurançon AOC.

"A delicate nectar of sweetness..."

"The warm southerly air and wind help the grapes on the mountain vines to passivate, extending the harvest period sometimes into December to produce Magendia, a pure Petit Manseng with a nose of calisson and almond paste, and a tight mouthfeel reminiscent of roasted fruit, pink grapefruit and citrus, with extraordinary finesse and a finish that touches iodine". "A diamond in the rough!"

"An original cuvée colored a golden amber, voluminous, powerful, soft on the nose and sharp as a cleaver on the palate. The contrast between the pulpy volume of the nose and the vertical, sharp palate is the charm of this cuvée, a rare saline guest." (Le Guide RVF 2024)

"Guaranteed fun!"

Adorned with its golden color, Jurançon moelleux blends lively acidity with fruity, exotic flavors (pineapple, candied citrus) and white flowers. This pretty sweet wine is an invitation to indulge, and its freshness makes it a wine of spontaneity par excellence...
