Laroche - l'Avenir
The Laroche family has been producing and making Chablis wines since 1850. Michel Laroche, who represents the 5th generation, joined the family domaine in 1967 to carry on the tradition and continue the work begun. In 2006, after Chile, Michel Laroche continued his expansion outside France, acquiring Laroche - L'Avenir, a 70-hectare winegrowing estate, including 55 hectares of vineyards. He expressed his desire to develop the group's activities in a region of the world that is currently experiencing the most dynamic growth. This acquisition in Stellenbosch, in the heart of South Africa's vineyards, is perfectly in line with this logic, and will enable Domaines Laroche to expand its offer with high-quality wines with a strong image.

As with all Laroche vineyards, the quality of viticulture in South Africa is of the utmost importance: the quality of the future wine depends on the quality of the fruit harvested, and therefore on the work of the vines. Moderate yields and full ripening of the fruit, but without excess, produce well-balanced wines. With the exception of Pinotage, a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault that has become the country's emblematic grape variety, all French grape varieties are found here. For example, Laroche - l'Avenir grows Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Pinotage, the dominant grape variety on the estate. Laroche - l'Avenir produces elegant, generous wines with a classic character.

According to Michel Laroche, the Stellenbosch vineyards are the most beautiful and spectacular in the world! A singular grape variety comes into its own here: Pinotage, producing an intense, complex wine with long-lasting aromas. A beautiful expression of terroir, sublimated by the Laroche touch and style!
