"The Riesling Bernkasteler Badstube Auslese 2017 is a stunning wine that displays a bright, fairly pale citrus color and opens with a super-precise, refined and beautifully reductive bouquet of perfectly ripe, healthy Riesling berries intertwined with beautiful crushed slate aromas. This is a wine of incredible clarity, luminosity and crisp Mosel character! On the palate, this is a very elegant, spicy and well-structured Badstube Auslese that combines ripeness, concentration and finesse. The wine is rich and filigreed at the same time, well-structured yet racy, crystalline and beautifully fine, with a long, crisp finish. Keep it for a decade or two." This is a wine of incredible clarity, luminosity and crisp Mosel character! On the palate, this is a very elegant, spicy and well-structured Badstube Auslese that combines ripeness, concentration and finesse. The wine is rich and filigreed at the same time, well-structured yet racy, crystalline and beautifully fine, with a long, crisp finish. Keep for a decade or two. Tasted three times in March and April 2019.
