"Hail hit Dambach-la-Ville hard in the spring of 2015, but the surviving shoots produced beautiful fruit, well vinified by these winemakers. An intense, green-gold color, a deep, complex and ripe nose, divided between elderberry and bergamot, a palate both voluminous and lively, built on an acidic and nervous line, a reflection of the granite terroir, a long finish: a rare harmony." About the wine:
Hail hit Dambach-la-Ville hard in the spring of 2015, but the surviving shoots produced beautiful fruit, well vinified by these winemakers. An intense, green-gold color, a deep, complex and ripe nose, divided between elderberry and bergamot, a palate both voluminous and lively, built on an acidic and nervous line, a reflection of the granite terroir, a long finish: a rare harmony.
About the domain :
Founded in 1905, the estate now covers almost 7 ha around Dambach-la-Ville, an important fortified wine-growing village located between Barr and Sélestat. Like many Alsatian producers, Jean-Louis Kamm and his son Éric - who have run the estate since 2005 - took the plunge in 2010, converting their vineyard from organic to organic farming.

Very fine wine, sapid and fleshy on the palate. Interesting q/p ratio for a grand cru.
