"The estate's wine list includes several sweet cuvées from a variety of terroirs. This one, born of a very early vintage (harvesting in mid-October for this 2018), earns the estate its 6th "Coup de Coeur" award. If this golden yellow wine attracts with its nose marked by overripeness, with notes of stewed, even candied, yellow and exotic fruits, it's on the palate that it reveals all its qualities: its unctuous texture and richness are balanced by a dash of acidity that gives it superb harmony". Domaine rated (guide 2023) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the domain :

In just a few years, Félix Meyer has built up a solid reputation in Alsace. This is no coincidence: the viticulture is of the highest quality, with carefully controlled yields, and vinification is carried out on fine lees in large tuns. Having joined the family domaine in 1992, Félix has a talent for revealing Katzenthal's granite terroirs. Don't neglect his Gewurztraminer, which shows no heaviness and acquires a crystalline purity, seducing even the detractors of this too-often daubed grape variety. The estate expanded by 3.5 hectares in 2019, and 2021 saw the arrival of organic certification.
