Bodega Poesia
Bodega Poesia is a wine made from 13 hectares of one of the oldest vineyards in Mendoza, Argentina. Planted with free-standing Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon vines dating back to 1935, the Bodega Poesia estate is located in the heart of Lujan de Cuyo, a historic area commonly recognized as the "primera zona" for Argentine Malbec.

Bodega Poesia's traditional vineyard practices are environmentally friendly, with no pesticides or herbicides used. Low production and manual harvesting preserve the natural qualities of the grapes. Bodega Poesia wines are vinified in small wood and stainless steel vats. Malolactic fermentation and 18 months' ageing in new French oak barrels specially imported from Bordeaux contribute to the elaboration of this rare product.

Bodega Poesia wines are blends of grapes from a single estate, grown on a clay-limestone terroir with gravelly subsoil. Hélène Garcin & Patrice Lévêque, the owners, want to reveal the identity of a terroir through these wines, just as the Garcin family does with their Bordeaux grands crus: Clos l'Eglise in Pomerol, Châteaux Branon and Haut-Bergey in Pessac-Léognan, Château Barde-Haut in Saint-Emilion.

Notes : Robert Parker 90/100, Decanter 3***Etoiles
A cuvée born of the experience acquired by Hélène Garcin and Patrice Lévèque at the Garcin vineyards in Bordeaux, and a perfect knowledge of the Argentine terroirs of Mendoza. The 2005 Pasodoble is very expressive, with a strong Argentine identity, notes of red berries and a fine, elegant structure. Excellent value for money!
