A new "coup de cœur" for Franck Chavy, rewarding consistency in winemaking. Optimum grape ripeness and 20-day maceration, among other factors, are at work here. Complex notes of violets, spices and ripe fruit emerge on the nose. Ample, silky and generous on the palate, with elegant tannins and superb persistence". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2023)

About the wine:
Another "coup de cœur" for Franck Chavy, rewarding his consistent approach to winemaking. Optimum grape ripeness and 20-day maceration, among other factors, are at work here. Complex notes of violets, spices and ripe fruit emerge on the nose. Ample, silky and generous on the palate, with elegant tannins and superb persistence.
About the domain :
Son and grandson of winegrowers, Franck Chavy set up in 1991 with a few hectares of Morgon. Through buyouts and sharecropping, he has expanded his estate to 9.5 ha, while at the same time making his mark in the Guide, where he is a sure bet. This success is undoubtedly due to his high vine density (10,000 vines/ha) and long maceration periods.
