2*Coup de Coeur

Hachette

"Already present in the 2018 edition, with a very fine star, Olivier Depardon returns with a Régnié full of charm and harmony. To achieve this, he de-stemmed his grapes, followed by a short ageing period in vats. The aromatic expression develops intense notes of ripe red and black fruit, with a hint of spice to boot. The palate, equally rich in fruit, is full-bodied, round and long, underpinned by silky, fine tannins". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2019) Gourmet pleasure!

Bue en 11/19. un léger perlé en bouche qui surprend sans être désagréable. nez de fruits croquants. supple, fleeting on the palate. a pleasure wine, but for me Régnié is not on a par with the other beaujolais aocs.

Beautiful purplish color, intense but fresh nose of black fruit, tightly-packed palate also relatively intense but rather short, relatively tannic. A fine expression of Gamay.

Episcopal purple color, small crystals in the glass (tartaric acid?), lovely fruity but discreet nose, but with aeration evolving into a very slight acescence. On the palate, good acidity and fruit, but hard tannins and a formidable astringency. Has the winemaker wanted to make a wine for laying down? For the moment, not a very pleasant wine.

Pretty deep ruby color for a Gamay. Attractive attack of red fruit, carried by a well-controlled bitterness. Good length. I like the balance and value for money.
