Domaine de la Croix Carron

Visit Croix Caron estate is situated in the hills overlooking the Saône valley, south-west of Mâcon. It owes its name to an ancient stone cross that marked the intersection of two roads near the estate. The vines, on average 40 years old, benefit from an excellent south-southeast exposure, at an altitude of 300 meters, and are planted on a clay-granitic soil that is particularly favorable to the Gamay grape variety.

Owned by Maison Boisset, Domaine de la Croix Carron extends over a 9-hectare vineyard run by Daniel and Fabien Adoir.

Located in northern Beaujolais, in the commune of Saint-Amour-Bellevue, the Saint-Amour appellation is one of the 10 Crus du Beaujolais. Its terroir benefits from a semi-continental climate with oceanic and Mediterranean influences, and granitic, clayey, sandy and sandy-clay soils. Saint-Amour wines evoke fruit and freshness, producing fine, well-balanced wines.
